The Beginning: I want to change things

My journey into journalism began when I was a child. My parents and my grandparents most especially my grandfathers played massive roles in shaping me into the woman I am today.

The day I turned 16 years-old, I was sure of what I was going to do. I was going to be a journalist.

I first became interested in journalism in my last year of secondary school when I became the captain of the debate team. The research and debate pointed me the right direction and let me discover myself.

My major reason for becoming a journalist is because I want to tell stories and bring about change in my country - Nigeria.

This beautiful West African country I come from is rich yet she is poor. She is riddled with problems that can be solved but the implementation of some of the solutions to help the country is still light years away.

I became a journo to create awareness and provide information the best way possible for people in my community and the world at large to understand what’s going on around them and how it affects their everyday lives.

I am interested in bringing to life inspirational and informative stories people can understand and connect with.

The truth is I just want to play my part in making our society a better place.
